James V. Gasparine, M.D.
Dr. James Gasparine joins the Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville team. He comes to OAZ from West Virginia University where he completed his sports medicine fellowship. Dr. Gasparine’s education includes both a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from West Virginia Wesleyan University and a Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia University. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of South Florida, where his concentration was on nutrition and weight loss.
Dr. Gasparine is board certified in family medicine and sports medicine. He has worked with the Seminole High School football team as a team physician and worked in Division I collegiate athletics in residency at the University of South Florida and as a fellow at West Virginia University. His additional experience includes working in a medical tent for the 70.3 World Ironman and being a team physician for the arena football league team, Tampa Bay Storm. Dr. Gasparine is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Association.
