Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville

Post-op Care

Following surgery, Orthopaedic Associates of Zanesville is committed to helping you towards full recovery. Although surgery is performed by one of our orthopedic surgeons, your physical therapist or primary care physician is usually asked to participate in your care after surgery. This is commonly referred to as post-operative consultation and care. The purpose of post-operative care is to identify and manage potential complications after surgery and to help you through the rehabilitation process.

OAZ will also provide you with plenty of educational material that will help you understand your injury, the treatment of it and the recovery process. Our office can provide you with informational literature on the following topics:

  • Ankle sprains
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Quadriceps contusion (thigh bruise) and strain
