We can help identify the causes of patient’s symptoms such as carpal tunnel, numbness, pain or cramping, tingling, muscle weakness or pinched nerves in the neck or back.

An electromyography otherwise known as an EMG measures how well your muscles respond to the nerve signals from the brain. A nerve conduction study or NCV testing measures how fast and strong the electric activity is in a nerve. These tests are often done at the same time and is the primary way to diagnose the severity and significance of patient’s medical conditions.

For this outpatient test, you should prepare for your EMG/NCV:

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
  • You may eat and drink normally.
  • Take your regular medications unless your physician instructs otherwise.
  • Resume normal activity after testing as directed by your physician.
